Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Popular California Coast
An aircraft flying near a well-attended southern California beach unexpectedly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as spectators watched.
Recordings posted on social media show the chopper commencing to spiral above Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the perimeter of the beach, where it gets stuck amidst palm trees and a steps close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Details
Local firefighters said five individuals were taken to hospital involving two who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the accident on that day.
Three persons on the pavement were harmed. Specifics on their wounds were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
