I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
