Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
